Oilers Part Ways with GM Ken Holland
The Edmonton Oilers have parted ways with their former general manager Ken Holland. According to ESPN, the Oilers' decision to not extend Holland was mutual.
Holland began his role as the Oilers' general manager back in 2019. As general manager, Holland led the Oilers to five consecutive playoff appearances. Last season, the Oilers finished with a 49-27-6 regular season record. Before becoming the Oilers' general manager, Holland was the general manager for the Detroit Red Wings from 1997 to 2019. Only time will tell what Holland's next move will be.
