According to Adam Schefter, the Minnesota Vikings have re-signed veteran guard Dalton Risner to a one-year contract. This will be Risner's second season with the Vikings.

Before playing for the Vikings, Risner was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Risner then went on to play four seasons for the Broncos before signing with Vikings during the 2023 offseason. Before playing in the NFL, Risner played his college football days at Kansas State.

In 2023, Risner graded out with a disappointing 57.1 PFF grade in his lone year with the Vikings. In the seasons before that, Risner graded out with PFF grades of a 64.4 in 2019, 61.3 in 2020, 68.5 in 2021, and a 61.1 in 2022. Risner is a nice signing by the Vikings. Risner is an average veteran player that can be relied upon in a pinch. The Vikings will hope they can resurrect Risner's success from his 68.5 PFF graded 2021 season.
