Reuters and Bloomberg are reporting that France and President Emmanuel Macron are set to host United States President Joe Biden on June 8th, 2024. The Reuters' report details that their official meeting will follow their existing plan to both attend an eighty-year D-Day anniversary event that is scheduled for June 6th, 2024.

President Macron originally visited President Biden in the U.S. back in 2022. Their upcoming meeting will likely discuss hot button geopolitical topics such as Israel, Ukraine, Russia, and more. France and the U.S. have worked closely together on the Russia-Ukraine War ever since it began. Both countries have been coordinating behind the scenes strategy for Ukraine along with military arms shipments to aid Ukraine in its defense.

Time will only tell how much of a priority the Russia-Ukraine War remains for France, the U.S., and their other Western allies as many citizens in these countries continue to protest their foreign aid spending directed towards Ukraine. Which many Western citizens view as an unwinnable war and waste of resources that could otherwise be used to help fund domestic projects that are very much needed in many situations. Elections for some of these countries including the U.S. are set to take place this year, which will further complicate their future support or lack there of on the Ukraine foreign spending issue.
