USWNT Hires Chelsea FC’s Emma Hayes as Its New Head Coach

The U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team (USWNT) made a bombshell announcement by hiring Emma Hayes as its next head coach. Before accepting the USWNT head coach position, Hayes coached Chelsea Football Club Women’s team which she still currently coaches now.

As per the USWNT’s announcement, “Hayes will finish the 2023-2024 Women’s Super League season in England and then join the U.S. team officially two months prior to the start of the 2024 Olympics.” The future is bright for the USWNT, as Hayes has experienced much success in her time as Chelsea FC’s head coach, a position she has held since 2012. During her time as Chelsea FC’s head coach, she has amassed 239 wins over 337 matches.
