The long-awaited "Twister" sequel, "Twisters," is fast approaching as it's set to hit theaters on July 19, 2024. This new chapter of the "Twister" franchise is headlined by actors Daisy Edgar-Jones and Glen Powell. The film was directed by Lee Isaac Chung.

This sequel's predecessor "Twister" was originally released in 1996 with actors Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton headlining the blockbuster film. "Twister" was such a success that Universal Studios eventually made a "Twister" ride for its theme park, which was popular for many years.
This upcoming film looks to have taken advantage of the advances in CGI technology since the original movie was released. Beyond the CGI, the acting looks very promising in the scenes released in the trailer. "Twisters" has the potential to be a true blockbuster like its predecessor.
