Clemson Football HC Dabo Swinney Responds to Texas A&M HC Vacancy Rumors

Since Texas A&M University’s midseason bombshell announcement that the Aggies fired head coach Jimbo Fisher, there has been extensive speculation as to who would replace Fisher as the next head football coach at Texas A&M. Some names that have been rumored as possible replacements have been Detroit Lions’ head coach Dan Campbell, University of Oregon’s head coach Dan Lanning, University of Colorado’s head coach Deion Sanders, and Duke University’s head coach Mike Elko.

Campbell, Lanning, Sanders, and Elko have all publicly declined their interests in the highly-coveted SEC head coaching vacancy that brings with it some of the best NIL resources that exist in college football today. As per reports, Clemson University’s head football coach Dabo Swinney has also been identified as a possible replacement, and when asked if he had any interest in the Texas A&M job opening Swinney responded by saying that "I'm just focused on this job ... Always have been. Just trying to beat North Carolina. It must be November—that's all I can say."

We will continue to closely follow the Texas A&M Aggies’ head coach search.
